

George A. Grilli passed away peacefully on Friday October 13, 2017. George was born in Utica, New York on September 17, 1920 to Gaspare and Maria Grilli. George served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant. George is survived by his wife, Marie of 70 years, two daughters, Barbara McCue of Shrub Oak, New York and Joan Guilbault of Branford, CT. He is predeceased by his loving son, Richard and son in law Leon Guilbault. George also had six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. George also leaves behind a niece and two nephews. George was a member of the Annunciation-Our Lady of Fatima Holy Name Society and The American Legion Scarsdale Post 52. George was also a very proud member of the ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Eating Out), where every Monday they ate at his favorite restaurant, Sam’s in Dobbs Ferry, New York. George was a man who loved life and had the most generous and loving heart. Our memories span decades , family, friends, trips to the Jersey Shore, parties, dinners at Sam’s, golfing, New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Everyone who met him has fond memories of him that will live on forever. He was one in a million. A special thank you to Jennifer and Eloise who took care of George when he was home. Also, a special thank you to all of those wonderful people at The United Hebrew Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in New Rochelle, New York who took such special care of George. His wake will be held on Monday, October 16th from 4-8 at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes in Eastchester. There will be a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 17th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
