Gregory J. O'Donnell

Gregory J. O’Donnell, a native of Mamaroneck, NY, was called to the Lord on January 9, 2024, at the age of 72. Greg was a 1968 graduate of Iona Prep School in New Rochelle. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Boston College in 1974.

Soon after graduation, Greg joined the Manhattan Savings Bank in Westchester County. He then took a position in risk management at Texaco’s Corporate Headquarters in Purchase, New York. Leaving the corporate world, and until his retirement, Greg ran a very successful painting business with a contract to paint all the blue roofs of the I-Hop chain, up and down the eastern seaboard.

While at leisure, Greg enjoyed golfing with his brothers, skiing with the Mogul Meisters, socializing with veterans, and traveling throughout the U.S. with family and friends.

Greg is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Miriam Quinlan, William O’Donnell, Alice Kiely, Richard O’Donnell; Dan Kiely, Heather O’Donnell, Lee Ann O’Donnell and Pat O’Donnell. Another brother, Robert O’Donnell, passed away in 2023. Another sister, Susan O’Donnell, and a brother-in-law, Anthony Quinlan, predeceased Greg as well. Greg was a beloved son, brother, uncle to cherished nephews and nieces, and loyal friend.

Greg’s interment will be limited to his immediate family but there will be a celebration of his life in the spring of this year. May he rest in peace.
