Pre-deceased by loving parents Joseph and Helen (Quintiliano) Fazzari, beloved daughter Mary Kate, devoted husband Frank, and brother Dr. Patrick J. Fazzari. Loving mother to Frank (wife Lynn Anne Cicalo), Mary Jean, and John, Mimi to granddaughter Katie Scarlett Ninivaggi, and great-grandmother to Bryce Aidan Ninivaggi-McManus.
Helene was born on January 8, 1936 in the Bronx. The family moved to Yonkers in 1962, where she lived most of her life. She enjoyed several summers spent with her family and cousins at Long Beach, and made many memories with her family in the Poconos. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved her family very much. She was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother, godmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She contributed charity work to the American Cancer Society, worked as a nurse's aide, and participated in the local PTA as well as many school events and organizations. Her interests included reading, crossword puzzles, music, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, knitting, baking, gardening, tennis, and the New York Yankees.
She loved and cared for her dogs Puggy and Barnaby. Helene was an artist of superior skill, and her work is prominently displayed in the homes of family members. She travelled to Europe, and reveled in her Italian heritage. She was a superb cook who took great care of her family, which was always her highest calling. In their over forty-five years of marriage, Helene and Frank raised a beautiful, close, and loving family.
A visitation will be held at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, located at 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583, on February 6, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral mass is scheduled for February 7, 2026, at Annunciation Church (Parish of Annunciation - Our Lady of Fatima), 470 Westchester Ave, Yonkers, NY 10707, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
The committal will take place at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530, on February 7, 2026, from 11:30 am to 11:45 am.
