

Jane Guercio, aka Rosa Jane Guercio, age 91, living at 1471 Sungate Drive, Kissimmee, Florida, passed away at Vitas Healthcare in Orlando, on Friday, September 3, 2021 at noontime. Jane was married to Peter Alfred Guercio of Scarsdale, New York on April 25, 1953. They were married for 41 years, living in Hartsdale, NY and Scarsdale, NY. Jane is survived by her children Susan Jane Guercio, Alfred Lee Guercio and Nancy Lyn Derrick, and grandchildren Edward J. O’Connor, Jr., Kathryn Rose O’Connor and Heather Guercio.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Peter, her brother, Arthur Lee Baucom, Jr., and her parents, Rose Cleveland Baucom and Arthur Lee Baucom.
Jane was born in Huntsville, Alabama on August 9, 1930. She graduated from Mount Saint Ursula Academy in the Bronx in 1948 and studied both piano and voice privately, singing professionally until 1953.
During high school and beyond, Jane worked in the family textbook business, located at Fordham University in the Bronx until her marriage. She developed avocations in fundraising events, party decorating and developed her own neighborhood children’s club, teaching children how to fundraise for charity and how to play bridge. She was known for her phenomenal dinner parties, bridge parties and, of course, her concert pianist skills, most notably her ability to perform Rachmaninoff’s Concerto in C# Minor.
Funeral visitation will be held on Thursday morning September 16, 2021 at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes from 9AM - 9:30AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church Hartsdale NY on September 16, 2021 at 10AM . Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery following the funeral mass.
