Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smile, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

Jeannie was a wonderful, kind, and compassionate lady. My family first met Jeannie back around 1981 when she was my sister Carol's supervisor at the Department of Agriculture in the WIC (Women, Infants & Children) program. Jeannie was intelligent and professional but also had that added charm of being caring and compassionate especially since my sister was suffering from end-stage complications of Type 1 Diabetes. Carol so admired and loved Jeannie and it gives me great comfort to know that Jeannie and Carol are reunited in Heaven where they both so richly deserve to be for all their good deeds and kindnesses in this life. My family were so taken with the wonderful person Jeannie was that we remained in touch with her even after Carol's death on Feb 19, 1983. Jeannie graced us with her presence at many McBride Family events, and my husband and me along with our daughter Samantha were thrilled to be able to visit with her at her lovely home last year. She had such a warm personality and such a vibrant laugh that she will always be remembered with a smile on her lovely face. And she was incredibly young looking and seemed never to change in beauty throughout the years. I offer my sincerest condolences to all her family and friends who will miss her but I feel confident she is happy in Heaven reunited with all her loved ones who have gone before her. God Bless you Jeannie! I thank you from the bottom of my heart! With love and prayers, Teresa Shute (nee McBride)
