Jesus Ortiz

Jesus Ortiz, “Chu”, born January 17, 1926. Loving husband, father and brother, Jesus is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lillian Bolta Ortiz, daughters Angelique (husband, Rick Hunt) and Alexis (husband, Ken Heaney), and granddaughters Lauren Ortiz-Hunt, Avery Ortiz-Hunt, and Sophia Ortiz-Heaney. Jesus was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, the son of Castulo and Maria Ortiz. He was the oldest brother of 10 brothers and sisters. Chu will be remembered as a kind and generous-hearted man and friend who greeted everyone with a “Hello, friend”, the oldest of women with a “Hello, young lady”, and his kids and grand children with a “Hello, corazon.” He will be forever missed, but what we are missing, God has gained.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday December 31, 2015 at St. Joseph Church New Rochelle 10AM. Cremation Ferncliff Crematory to follow in Hartsdale NY. Visitation Wednesday December 30, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9PM
