I was John’s high school hockey coach at Iona Prep and remember him as a quiet, very respectful young man who was well liked by his teammates and truly was an asset to our team.
To his wife, son, parents, sister and family, I am truly sorry for your loss and wish you comfort during this trying time.

Johnny, I remember growing up on Westwood Rd and saying to myself wow that kid is sooo cool and super cute! You were my first crush! I remember you always rollerblading , shooting the puck till late at night, playing the fugees album (90s) all the time! So many of my childhood memories growing up in Yonkers remind me of you and your family. May you Rest In Peace Johnny! ❤️ -Julianna

John was one of the finest people I've ever met. We worked together when he came to Lincoln High School for IT support. We had a great relationship, talking about sports and life in general. No matter how busy he was, he always made a point to come down and say hello and check if I needed anything. He was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to John's family and friends during this very difficult time. I'll truly miss him dearly. Peace, love and blessings!

My deepest sympathy to the family.... It's heartbreaking to hear of the sad news. John you were such a good, caring, funny & very helpful co-worker. You never said no to anyone needing computer help. It was an honor to have meet you & worked with you. May the angels guide your beautiful soul to eternal peace.
