

of 70. He was born in New Rochelle, New York on May 8, 1951 to Alfred and Teresa
Venturini. John attended and graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in 1969. He later
went on to attend college at the University of Loyola in New Orleans, Louisiana and
studied abroad at the University of Loyola Rome. John’s love for Italian culture and
language ran deep throughout his life.
John had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed many adventures in his career including
owning and operating a denim clothing store with his brother, Stephen, in New Orleans,
opening a cajun and creole restaurant, The French Quarter, in Des Moines, IA, and
operating Bambino International Groceries throughout the Midwest.
John is survived by his two sons, Michael (Kate) and Thomas Venturini, his brother,
Stephen (Marie) Venturini and grandson, James. He also leaves behind long time partner,
Cynthia Shoeman, and her two children, Sasha and Jesse Rose. A graveside burial and celebration of life will take place on Friday April 8th at 230PM (immediate family only) in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 95 Kings Hwy, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
