
Joseph Castellano passed away on September 22, 2012 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY. He was born in CIVITA Italy on July 17, 1921 to parents Victoria Zuccaro and Peter Castellano. He grew up in southern Italy and joined the air force as a teenager. He came to America in 1948 with his new bride Lillian Capraro of New York City. He became a talented stone craftsman working in Rye New York in the monument business. He was predeceased by Lillian and remarried Mary Rotondo. He is also survived by his children: Joseph and his wife Heather and their four children (Chelsea, Joseph, Lesley, Kirk) and son in law Thomas Lefebvre, and two grand children PJ and Penelope; Victoria and her husband Michael Coogan and sons Peter and Frank Santisario; and Dominick. Besides his second wife Mary, he is also survived by Dino and his children Shawn, Holly, Anthony, Angelica, DJ and Albert Rotondo and his wife Clare and children Danielle and Allison.
Joseph was a great role model and had a strong work ethic. He was devoted to his whole family giving them all unconditional love.
Visiting hours will be at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes in Scarsdale NY, Monday September 24 and Tuesday September 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday September 26, at 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale.
