The family of Justin Arthur Goldberg is grieved to announce his passing. Justin was born in Richmond Hill, Queens on April 3, 1984. He is survived by his wife Ellen P. Hanrahan, his parents Alan and Barbara DeCrow Goldberg, his paternal Grandmother Helen Goldberg, his six siblings Alexandra Benevides (Peter), Victoria, Jeremy, James, David and Rebecca, and his cat Calpurnia. He will be sorely missed by his nephews Avi and Peter, and his nieces Evelyn, Lili, and Luna.
Justin grew up surrounded by his three brothers and three sisters on Church Lane in Scarsdale. He was the oldest child and leader. He was fun. He loved adventures, and could turn any scenario into one, be it a day on the golf course or traipsing through the woods. He will be especially remembered for his loyalty to and love for his family and friends.
Justin spent a lifelong career working in the golf services industry which he loved. He was sentimental, quirky, witty and he could tell a hell of a story. He loved antiques, collectibles and hip hop. Justin loved Christmas. He delighted in keeping Santa real and in giving gifts. His nieces and nephews were the lights of his life. He loved traveling with his family, and his annual vacations to New Hampshire.
Justin married his beloved wife Ellen on October 20, 2018 at the Glen Island Harbour Club on the Long Island Sound. They resided in Rye, New York. They met romantically outside of Grand Central Station in 2010 and shared a passion for oddities and hijinx.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Justin’s name should be graciously directed to The Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter located in North Haven, Connecticut (https://theanimalhavenct.org).
A visitation for Justin will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
