Katherine M. Moccia

Katherine M. Moccia (nee Sisca) most recently of Ghent NY and formerly of Hartsdale NY passed away on July 4th 2014 from stroke with her family surrounding her. Mrs. Moccia was born on September 21, 1919 in Harrison New York to the late Angelo and Rosina Spizzaro Moccia. Katherine graduated as a nurse from St. Johns Baby Hospital New Foundling and spent years nursing in St. Agnes and White Plains Hospitals.

Katherine enjoyed many years of traveling with her husband Felix before he passed away, she also enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening and writing poetry. Katherine was predeceased by her husband of 43 years Felix A. Moccia and her son Vincent A. Moccia and siblings Louise Clark, Yolanda Gasparino, Teresa Saccomano, Anthony, Phillip, Joseph and Ernest Sisca. Katherine is survived by her children Mary Lou Moccia, Kathy Meyer (Fred), Jo Moccia (Laura), and grandchildren Crystal Hutchins (Ben), Tori Romeo (John), Ricky Meyer and a great grandson Adrian.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday July 7th 2014 Sacred Heart Church Hartsdale NY at 10AM. Interment Mount Calvary Cemetery White Plains NY.
