

Kathy, as she was known, is survived by her sisters Marie Amoroso (Mike) and Loretta DiLorenzo (Bob); brother Rich Gleeson (Nancy Serventi); eight nieces, Lori Arnold (Zach), Nancy Amoroso, Beth D'Aquanni (Dan), Kate DiLorenzo (Will Brennan), Claire Paquin (JP), Sarah DiLorenzo (Daniel Flynn), Molly Serventi-Gleeson, Jesse Serventi-Gleeson (Ben Thomas); one nephew, Michael Amoroso (Mary); nine grandnieces and nephews, Tom and Ian DiLorenzo, Chloe and Ursie Paquin, Ryan Arnold, Michael, Matthew and James Amoroso, Olivia D'Aquanni; her loving caregivers Karen Contreras, Blanca Alvarez, Tina Palma, Marisa Pinto, Lara Serapio, Khristine Teves; and many cousins and longtime friends.
Kathy was predeceased by her grandparents, Kathryn and William White, Loretta and Michael Gleeson; her parents Marie and Joseph Gleeson; and her brother Reverend Joseph Gleeson.
Born in New York City on June 29, 1940, Kathy graduated from St. Barnabas High School, received a B.A. from the College of New Rochelle, an M.A. from Fordham University and an MBA from Pace University. Kathy was a member of the Sisters of Charity of New York for eleven years, teaching math at York Catholic High School, Cathedral High School and St. Barnabas High School. Later, she worked as a systems programmer at Chase Bank in New York City.
Kathy enjoyed the theater, traveling, dinners out with her friends and vacationing on Cape Cod. She was heavily involved in volunteering, especially at The Foundling Hospital and The Crisis Intervention Center. Kathy spent much of her time helping her many friends in their times of need. Kathy was kind, caring, generous and faithful and will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
A Mass in celebration of Kathy's life will be offered by Fr. Robert Verrigni at 10am on Thursday, June 5, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 4 from 4pm to 8pm at Bennett's Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Avenue, Scarsdale, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Kathy's name to The Sisters of Charity of New York or Calvary Hospice.
Kathy's family especially wants to thank the Eastchester and Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps and her wonderful caregivers.
