Dr. Kottai Gnanasekaran, PhD will be remembered as an exceptionally kind, humble, sensitive and wise father, husband, and grandfather. He completed a PhD in economics at the University of Bombay and pursued post doctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Gnanasekaran worked as an economist at the United Nations with a focus on population studies. After retiring from the United Nations, Dr. Gnanasekaran was an advisor for the International Longevity Center at Mount Sinai Hospital. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandson.
