Lucille A. Vanden Eeden

Lucille VandenEeden passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. Lucille was born on November 27, 1943 in the Bronx to Anthony and Philomena LaConte. She worked for Albert Einstein Hospital for over 30 years. Lucille married the love of her life, John VandenEeden, and they enjoyed 20 beautiful years together before his death in 2001.

Lucille cherished spending time with her family and friends, whether in person, or over the phone. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family. Lucille was dedicated to donating to various charities and was known for her thoughtful gifts. While Lucille did not have any children, she treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.

Lucille was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her oldest sister and brother-in-law, Nettie and Rudy Daba. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Claire and Phil Piro, 5 nieces and nephews, Stacie Bogdany, Robin (Bobby) Basciano, Jaime (Nicky) Orlando, Chris (Christine) Piro, and Gerald (Lynn) Piro, 14 great-nieces and nephews, 11 great-great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Lucille was an integral part of her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
