Nicholas P. Cantatore

Nicholas P. Cantatore passed away on April 16, 2011. Mr. Cantatore was born on June 29, 1916 in Eastchester to Paul and Rose Cantatore. He attended the Eastchester schools, then began his landscaping career and shortly after enlisted in the United States Army. While he was stationed in Germany he met his future wife Kathryn Kaczor. They were married shortly after on February 1, 1948. Mr. Cantatore was employed by the Village of Scarsdale Highway Department as a Landscape Designer and Gardener for 35 years. He was a mentor for the Scarsdale High School students who were involved in the Summer Internship Program. Mr. Cantatore is survived by his wife Kathryn, his son Richard and his wife Linda, his grandchildren Julie Cantatore Francis and Alison Zink and his great grandsons Nolan and August. Also surviving are his brother and two sisters. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
