Peter “Dukie” Tucci passed away early Thursday morning at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jeannie and is survived by his daughters, Valerie and Jeanmarie, grandson Dom, sister Tina, brother John and sister-in-law Carmela. Dukie was an army veteran, an accomplished painter, a self-proclaimed handyman, but above all, an ardent storyteller. Anyone who knew Dukie could certainly recount his entire tenure working for Malcolm Forbes, and had probably heard a time or two of his lunches with Steven. Any listener was also assured to get a full analysis of the previous night’s Yankee game. His stories and strong opinions made him the unique, loveable character that one could sit and have a cup of coffee with for hours on end. Whether it was a weekend home improvement project with sidekick Phil, a trip to the Jersey Shore with the boys, or a Sunday afternoon at Dom and Sally’s, Dukie’s stories were a given. Both he and his stories will undoubtedly be missed.
