After retirement, he worked as treasurer for the Edgemont school district for 18 years. A passionate bowler in the White Plains School Teachers League, and later the retired teachers’ Tuesday Niters, he was an avid NY Times crossword puzzler, and devoted cheerleader and fan of his beloved SJU basketball team.
He was a past president of the Arthur Manor Neighborhood Association, and for many years led Christmas Carol sings in Davis Park, and the “Star Spangled Banner” at the annual July 4th Parade festivities.
His enjoyment of singing extended to parish church choirs, and the opportunity to travel and sing with festival choirs in various churches in Europe.
