Robert L. Mayo

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Bragg and Fort Gordon in the 304th Military Police Company. After his service, he pursued higher education at New York University, earning his undergraduate degree and later a master’s degree from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

He built a long and respected career as a Technical Writer, working with several brokerage firms and banks in New York City. Known for his intelligence, precision, and professionalism, Robert took great pride in his work and was valued by colleagues throughout his career.

Above all, Robert was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Peg Mayo, and his cherished grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin Mayo, who brought him immense joy. He was predeceased by his loving son, Michael Scott, who passed away on September 24, 2024. Robert carried Michael’s memory in his heart always.

Robert will be remembered for his quiet strength, sharp mind, dedication to his family, and the life of integrity he led. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
