Susan M. (Susie) O'Donnell, age 69, residing both in Manhattan and White Plains, New York, passed away peacefully at hospice after a long battle with cancer. Ms. O'Donnell is the daughter of the late William J. and Miriam E. O'Donnell and was born on July 26, 1949 in New York City.
Susan earned her Bachelor's degree from Maryville College of the Sacred Heart in Saint Louis, Missouri and spent most of her career as director of paralegals at the New York law firm of Anderson Russell Kill Olick & Oshinski. For the last ten years, Susan has assisted her brother Robert in his legal practice in White Plains.
Susan is survived by her sister Miriam Quinlan (beloved husband, Anthony Quinlan, deceased) of Weeki Wachee, Florida, brother William and his wife Patricia, of Stamford, Connecticut, brother Robert and his wife Heather, of Yorktown Heights, New York, brother Gregory of Mamaroneck, New York, sister Alice and her husband Daniel Kiely, also of Yorktown, New York, and brother Richard and his wife, Lee Ann, of Scarsdale, New York. Aunt Susie is also survived by eighteen nieces and nephews and their families, including twelve great nieces and nephews. Adored by all, Susan will be remembered for her fun-loving and optimistic spirit, for her years of selfless devotion to her mother, and for her effervescent personality.
Viewing will take place on Tuesday, September 11th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Avenue, Scarsdale, New York. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Strathmore Road, Scarsdale, New York on Wednesday, September 12th to be followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
