We miss Tom so much. He was really, really funny. And brilliant. We were in an executive meeting once and all the extroverts were blathering on (me among them). Someone turned to Tom to inquire why he wasn't talking. "Nobody asked me," he said. And then he probably pulled out a professionally bound, gazillion-page report complete with flow charts and savings that put the issue, whatever it was, to rest. An extraordinary man.

I am so glad I am here to witness the beautiful progress and growth of his spectacular children.  My thoughts are with you all.

Tom just came to mind after so many years.  I worked with Tom at Alco Gravure in Glen Burnie MD and we made these best of a crazy workplace with humor.  He asked me to come with him to USA Weekend which I declined after careful consideration due to family responsibilities.  I have always second guessed that decision as I enjoyed working with him so much.  My condolences to his blessed children.

Dear Nick and Hayley,
It’s taken me a while to write a note here.  I’m just gutted by this loss. 
I met Tom at Parade in 2010.  We launched Dash magazine together and Tom had so many great ideas about the magazine. As we got to know each other more, I depended on his friendship and his amazing ability to make me laugh in any situation.
I was able to bring him over to AMG when we bought Parade.  His expertise on Parade production elevated the company.  He was so smart.
We always had a great time working together and seeing each other for lunch and dinner.
We had just texted a week or so before he died.  He sent me some wonderful photos of both of you.  He was so proud of you.

Dear Bea-
So sorry to hear of young Tom’s passing way too soon indeed. We were thinking of you when.passed on. I know you were thinking of her as well. You truly were one of her “Besty’s” If not number one.
Mum loved you dearly. You came into her life at such an important time and helped her immensely. You were God sent 
I know that your quick wit and tough positive attitude Gave mom a great deal of inspiration. You guys made a great team. I remember our talks And can see your face so clearly your smile and hearty laugh. Best wishes always thanks for being you. Take care in this tough time.-

The ever quick witted man always had the perfect observation and remark for whatever the situation.   Outside of business- I would never stop laughing when I was around Tom. I loved that man. He was my true hero. 
Loss is never easy. But losing a good friend like Tom is like losing a little bit of your soul. When I texted Tom just a few days ago I had no idea we had run out of time and he would be leaving so suddenly. But I am so thankful to have had Tom as a dear and wonderful friend. I will always remember our long, strange trip together and remain forever grateful.

Your father never stopped talking about you both.  You guys were the world to him - he loved you so much. He would tell me how much fun he would have just jumping  up and down on the bed with you both. Tom was a very proud father. Hopefully, you will find all of the wonderful memories of your father will soften some of the pain and remain forever in your heart.

Nick, Haley and family--

I met Tom when he came back to Parade in about 2015. He was a welcome voice of reason in many, many crazy times. I loved our debriefing phone calls after particularly ridiculous meetings--his signature wry humor got me off the ledge many times. I hope the laughs I gave him helped him, too. I aspire to be as considerate and generous as he was--always remembering to ask about my family and checking in when he thought I needed it. The last time he talked, he sounded good--content--excited about Nick's wedding and proud of Haley's graduate work. I hope your happy memories with him keep you strong during this time.

Nick and Haley.  Your Dad was a very special friend to me over the many years we worked together at USA Weekend, Parade Magazine and AMG/Parade.   We shared many meals together, laughs, business meetings and yes, a motor cycle ride.  Your Dad and  both of you even came down to Ocean City, NJ and stayed with my wife Janet and I overnight one summer.  Janet and I had dinner and spent an  evening with your Dad and Mom when they were visiting your Grandfather and Grandmother in Palm Springs, CA before you were born.  Words are difficult in these times---but you should know I always admired your Dad, respected him and he always talked about you two---and how much he loved you.  My heart goes out to you. 

We loved Tom. I (Marilyn) worked with him at Parade.  He was so knowledgable and always willing to share that knowledge to solve a problem.  And was he funny! And kind. 

He loved you, Nick and Hayley, so much.

Tom was a friend and classmate at Greensboro College in the 70s. 
 Such a fine man.  Had it not been for Facebook, we probably would have lost touch ... for that I am grateful because I last talked with him on his birthday in February.  The news of Tom's passing is so devastating.   I know that Hayley and Nick were his life, and he was SO proud of the two of you ... looking forward to that wedding in November.  We laughed about his ordering a "new dancing knee"!  What a fine man, and such a loss to us all.  My sincerest sympathies to the family.

I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with Tom while at AMG/Parade. He was an exceptionally great man with a great sense of humor. He always knew what to say to put a smile on your face or to make you laugh.  He always spoke about his son and daughter and how he was so proud of them. Tom was a very thoughtful and considerate person.  His sense of humor and smile will be truly missed. My prayers go out to the entire family 🙏🏽.

That beautiful smile on your Dad sums up what a great person your Dad was. We worked together for many years at Parade Magazine. He was smart, prudent, easy going but most of all a very warm and caring guy. We met you both a few times when Dad brought you into the office. He always spoke of how proud he was of both of you.  When we last got together (group shot enclosed) he praised you both. We will all miss him. He was a stand up person that made a positive impact to all he was involved with.

Where do i begin; Thomas has become stardust. We met when i was in 10th grade and he was a student at Greensboro College. Tall, lanky, classy and deep..often Funny..in other words, light and complex.. all at once. He had many years as an executive in printing @ Parade Magazine, NY. We had plans to reunite In NYC..and then that global crap hit. About a week ago, around his birthday, he said he was "in VT and FREEZING!! XO" prior to that I had just recently messaged him  that we had a long and healthy life ahead..and he said " thank you for that " I am Gutted! I hope his two lovely children are comforted in having a great dad. He is missed.

Our most heartfelt condolences to you & your family during your time of loss. Your dad was a wonderful man with a great smile. Our fondest memories of your father were of our Scarsdale Christmas parties and his Harley visit to our home. He cared deeply for others.

So sorry to hear about Tom’s passing!  I was one of many of his close College buddies at Greensboro.  He was always thoughtful and one of the guys you could rely on.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family!
