Violet was born on October 6, 1929, in New York City, to Sahag and Elizabeth Kacherian. She was predeceased by a brother James and sister Lucy. When home, she volunteered as a certified docent at the Marshlands Conservancy in Rye and was an active member of the St. Gregory Armenian Church community in White Plains volunteering for the Women’s Guild and performing as a member of the Hye Steppers, the parish’s amateur dance ensemble.

She loved to play games and created family traditions especially around the holidays, a spirit that continues with the next generations. She will be remembered with love and deeply missed.
