William J. Heese

June 4, 1936March 27, 2019

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smile, I've only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

It's Saturday, and I just learned of Bill's passing. He was a great friend, and I'll miss him and that great grin and smile. We talked a lot together - a lot about business, naturally, but even more about everything else. His love of the Yankees always topped my love of the Reds. Thank goodness the teams were in different leagues. Bill and I shared a lot of wonderful moments in our lives. Shirley and I are thinking of you, Charlotte. As the old song says, We'll Meet Again.

I'll miss our frequent NY Yankee talk this summer. Instead, I hope you'll be having an even better discussion with the Babe and DiMaggio. Indeed, you will be missed.

Peace and love to the Heese family.

Bill and I shared many hours on the road representing the music publishing industry. Bill was a true gentlemen and it was always a pleasure to meet up with him. So sorry to hear of his passing.
