Dona Fay Sweigart, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026. She was born on September 15, 1956, in Ephrata, a daughter of Joan May (Thompson) and the late Dean Vernon Grosteffon. On May 4, 1983, she married Kenneth “Kenny” Sweigart.
Dona worked for many years as an accountant for Krown Kitchens and she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Womelsdorf. She was an avid reader and liked to cross stitch, but her great passion was for music, especially country music. She enjoyed making mix CDs of her favorite singers such as Travis Tritt, Toby Keith and Trace Adkins. As a music lover, she of course loved to dance and her wheelchair didn’t stop her from moving and swaying to the beat.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Kenny; son, Michael Scott (Gail) Sweigart; her mother Joan M. Lehmier and stepfather James L. Lehmier; brother, Douglas C. Grosteffon; sister, Susan L. (Edward) Gehr; and three grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie J. Sweigart; father, Dean Grosteffon; paternal grandparents, Stephen and Thelma Grosteffon; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Blanche Thompson; and mother- in- law, Ruth DeLancey.
A Celebration of Life for Dona will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be in Dona’s memory to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090-1891.
