Edith B. Zimmerman

Edith B. Zimmerman, 96, died on Friday in her home. She was a member of Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. Born in Lancaster County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Rufus M. and Lizzie W. Horst. She was married to the late Jonas N. Zimmerman who died in 2004. Surviving are two sons, Willis H. (Ruth Ann) of Romulus, N.Y., Harold H. (Grace Ann) of Myerstown; five daughters, Elizabeth H. Zimmerman, at home, Erma H. Eby ( Edward) of New Holland, Esther H. Martin (Ammon) of Waterloo, N.Y., Verna H. Garman (Clyde) of Mifflinburg, and Lucille H. Good (Clifford) of Manheim. Also are a daughter-in-law Vera H. Zimmerman of Romulus, N.Y., 42 grandchildren, 153 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Elizabeth Hoover, and two sister – law Janis Horst of Newmanstown, and Nora Stauffer of New Holland. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son Lloyd, one grandson, and three great grandsons. Also preceding her were brothers, Ivan, Earl, Irvin, Rufus, and sisters, Edna Martin, Susie Brubaker, Alta Martin, and Vera Brubaker. Funeral service on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 9:30 AM in Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, 213 Deep Run Road, Myerstown, Pa. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Fairview Mennonite Reception Center 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon, Pa. Please omit flowers.
