Eva M Kurtz

Eva Eberly Kurtz, 83, of 8 Pleasant Drive, Myerstown, died Friday March 16, 2012 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Christian H. Kurtz to whom she was married on February 10, 1951. She was born in East Earl Twp., Lancaster Co., a daughter of the late Martin M. and Minnie M. Martin Eberly. She was a member of the Weaverland Conference, Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Myerstown. She is survived by children: Earl Kurtz and his wife Sarah, Bethel; Warren Kurtz and his wife Judith, Cherry Tree, PA; Edwin Kurtz and his wife Eunice, Webster, KY; Luke Kurtz and his wife Linda, Cherry Tree, PA; James Kurtz and his wife Anna Mae, Harrodsburg, KY; Isaac Kurtz and his wife Sara, Guys Mills, PA; Susan Kurtz, Louella Kurtz and Rachel Kurtz all at home; Anna wife of Jonathan Putt, Bainbridge, PA; Eva Jane wife of Jay King, Union Star, KY; 47 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers: Luke husband of Elva Eberly, Stevens; Henry husband of Hilda Eberly, Richland; Martin husband of Anna Eberly, Ephrata; Paul husband of Esther Mae Eberly, Loysville; Willis husband of Myrna Eberly, Reinholds; John husband of Abby Eberly, East Earl; sisters: Esther wife of Irvin Weaver, Stevens; Elizabeth wife of John Elam Zimmerman, Lebanon; Edna wife of Allen Brubacker, Unity, WI; also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandchildren: stillborn Philip Dale King and Gwendolyn Joy Kurtz; sisters: Anna and Minnie Eberly. Funeral service will be held Monday 9:30 AM from Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, Deep Run Rd, Myerstown. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4:00 PM and 6 to 8:00 PM at the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, Jackson Rd, Myerstown.
