Gladys Marie Burkholder Becker

Gladys Marie Becker, 84, of Willow Terrace, Lebanon, formerly of Newmanstown, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Leon T. Becker who died in 1986. She was born in Warwick Township, Lancaster County on June 2, 1933, a daughter of the late Walter E. and Ada W. Getz Burkholder. Gladys was a retired employee of Woodstream Corporation in Lititz and later worked at numerous McDonald Restaurants in the Lebanon area. She worshipped in the Lutheran faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Donald Becker and wife Marie of Newmanstown; granddaughter, Melinda Kreider and husband Keith of Myerstown; great granddaughter, Courtney Kreider of Shartlesville; great grandson, Christopher Kreider of Myerstown; brother, Walter Burkholder of Lancaster and sister, Ellen Burkholder of NC. She was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Oheme. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:30 AM in Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown with a viewing beginning on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Interment will be made in Schaefferstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 745 W. Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
