Howard (Buffy) was a long time resident of Schaefferstown, PA. He and wife Kay loved being a part of the Schaefferstown community. Howard was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. Church in Schaefferstown. He was a Mason with the Williamson Lodge in Womelsdorf, PA, and served in the U.S. Army stationed in Alaska during peacetime between the Korean and Vietnam wars. Howard worked as a restaurant equipment salesperson for many years and retired from the PA Turnpike Commission. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather! Howard enjoyed gardening, antiquing/sales & auctions, hunting with friends at the Lebanon Valley deer camp near Huntingdon, PA, and sharing wonderful beach vacations with his family and friends.
Howard is survived by daughter Amy Weik ; son Adam, husband of Allyson (Hoffman); grandchildren Olivia, Tanner, and Addison; brother Monroe; sisters Margaret, wife of Carl Wenger; Christine Dull; Lois, wife of Mark (Skip) Heisey ; and many nieces, nephews, and sister in laws. He was preceded in death by loving wife Kay; son in law Dale H. Weik, Jr.; parents Monroe and Ellen (Steffy); sisters, Verna and Alma; brothers, Richard and Harold; and several brother in laws.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday September 27, 2013 at the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Howard's memory to:
