

Jack S. Hartman 74 of Schaefferstown passed away peacefully in his sleep at home with his wife and daughter at his side on Saturday, May10, 2025. He was born in Lebanon on September 15, 1950, a son of the late John Franklin and Geraldine (Schaeffer) Hartman Moyer. Jack was the husband of Sandra (Yoder) Hartman for 51 years. Jack was a School Bus Driver for ELCO School District Bus 24. He faithfully served his country with the 1st INF BN 7th CAV of the 1st Calvary Division (Airmobile) in the Republic of Vietnam for the period October 1970 to September 1971 is deserving of the honors and respect. He was a member of the Bernville V.F.W. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter Summer Janean, wife of Eric Hoffman, Richland; granddaughter: Meadow Rayne Hoffman whom he loved dearly; brother: John Hartman of Virginia; sister: Judy, wife of Tim Hoffman, Schaefferstown; uncle: Dennis Schaeffer of Schaefferstown; several nieces and nephews; several cousins. He was predeceased by his step father Ronald L. Moyer. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 12:30 PM in Schaefferstown Cemetery. A Funeral Procession will form at the Clauser Funeral Home 116 N. Carpenter St, Schaefferstown, PA 17088 at 12:00 PM and leaving at 12:15 PM. Contributions may be made in Jack’s memory to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
