

James A. Bucher, 83, of Richland, passed away on Sunday, July 5th, 2026, at Alpine Valley Post Acute and Healthcare Center, Lebanon. Born in Lebanon on September 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Alfred A. and Geraldine F. (Scholl) Bucher. James was the loving husband of Nancy M. (Hottenstein) Bucher, and they would have observed their 60th wedding anniversary in August.
James (Jim) retired from Bethlehem Steel where he was employed as a carpenter. After retiring he operated Richland Shooter’s Supplies with his wife Nancy. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and spending time with his dogs. Jim was a 32nd Degree Mason of Williamson Lodge No. 307 in Womelsdorf. Additionally, he belonged to the NRA, Grace U.C.C., Richland.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: Paul Bucher (Beth) of Elizabethtown, Kristen Templin (Stan) of Reinholds and Sherry Hoskinson (John) of Canal Winchester, Ohio, along with fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters: Suzanne Foulk of Newmanstown and Kathy McKeever (Jack) of Macungie, in addition to a niece and nephews.
