James A. Troyer

James A. Troyer from Newmanstown, PA was born October 10, 1954 in Holmes County Ohio to the late Atlee and Dena Troyer and died September 24, 2025 at the age of 70. He passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. On April 9, 1977 he married Rose M. Auker. They enjoyed 48 years of marriage and 4 children, Clifton D. Troyer (Rhonda) of Bradford, PA; Durwin L. Troyer (Marla) Robesonia, PA; Wendell J. Troyer (Edith) of Ulysses, PA; Dena R. Troyer of Newmanstown, PA along with 15 grandchildren. He is survived by his step-parents Eli and Clara Raber and four siblings Norman (Erma) of Iowa; Robert (Ruby) of Ohio; sister Naomi Miller (John) of Ohio; and David (Leona) of Ohio. James enjoyed the outdoors with his family and grandchildren making memories fishing, hunting and feeding/watching his birds. He worked for 15 years at Dutch Valley and was an electrician for 30 years and he used his gift of serving others through catering for 30 years. He was a member of Blandon Mennonite Church. He served the Lord faithfully and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be Monday September 29, 2025 at 10:00 am. in the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center 141 Jackson Rd., Lebanon, PA 17042. A viewing will be held on Sunday September 28, 2025 in the Fairview Reception Center from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be in Schaefferstown Mennonite Church Cemetery. Clauser Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
