Larry B. Miller, 69, of Myerstown, passed away on unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in his home. He was the husband of the late Nancy Lee Boyer Miller. He was born in Lebanon on November 13, 1949, a son of the late Solomon and Mary Miller Miller. Larry was employed for many years as a machinist at Bethlehem Steel and also served as a union representative. He later worked for Yellow Freight as a dock worker. He proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam from 1970-71. He was a sergeant on the Advisory Team 37, Military Assistance Command located in Binh Thuan, Vietnam. He worshipped at Myerstown Church of the Brethren. Larry earned a Black Belt in Taekwondo and loved playing his classical guitar. Larry was an avid ELCO sports fan, attending many of the sporting events through the years, especially following his grandchildren. He was also a member of the One Accord singing group, singing for special events. He is survived by children, Jessica Sherk of Myerstown, Brock Miller and wife Devon of Coatesville; Taryn Miller-Bell and husband Daniel of Manheim; grandchildren, Haley Sherk, Sage Sherk, Madison Miller, Brendan Bell and Aiden Miller; brother, Dennis Miller and wife Lois of Annville; sisters, Linda Miller of Lebanon; Edie Moyer and husband Donald of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Miller, Solomon Miller, Jr., Terry Miller and John Miller. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 7 pm in Myerstown Church of the Brethren, 51 W. Stoever Ave., Myerstown, PA, with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 5:30 pm. Private burial will take place with military honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Astrazeneca Hope Lodge, 110 W.
