Lester S Houshower

Lester S. Houshower, 79, of Richland, PA, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 in the Stoneridge, Poplar Run, Myerstown, PA. He was the husband of the late Ruth E. Tracey Houshower. He was born in Lancaster on October 12, 1933, a son of the late Lester Houshower and Irene Sensenig. Les was employed for 23 years at the Cornwall Ore Mines and retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation after 33 years of service. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, loved the outdoors and enjoyed horse racing. He is survived by children, Denise wife of Barry Ober of Lititz; Michael husband of Denise Houshower of Denver; Dana Plummer of TX; Darryl Houshower of NY; Danyelle wife of Michael Weidman of Newmanstown; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Delmar Houshower, Grant Houshower and Dean Houshower. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon in the Clauser Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown with a viewing beginning on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Interment will be made in the Schaefferstown Cemetery.
