Lewis L. Horst

Lewis L. Horst, 87, of Fairmount Homes, formerly of Lebanon entered into eternal rest on Sunday May 17, 2026 in the Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. He was the husband of the late Laura G. Horst who passed away on September 7, 2015. Lewis was born in Ephrata, Lancaster County on November 11, 1938, a son of the late Isaac Horst and Anna (Lauver) Horst. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference. He is survived by children: Roy and Linda (Nolt) Horst, Cayuga, NY; Clair and Ruth (Brubacker) Horst, Loyal, WI; Elaine wife of Leon Oberholtzer, Lebanon; Marlin and Thelma (Oberholtzer) Horst, Curtis, WI; 32 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; siblings: Clarence and Erla (Wenger Oberholtzer) Horst, Lebanon; Melvin and Arlene (Martin) Horst, Geneva, NY; Amos and Etta (Martin) Horst, Scurry, TX; Elsie Hoover, Ephrata; Daniel and Susan (Brubaker) Horst, Ephrata; Kathryn wife of Richard Zimmerman, New Holland. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Marlene W. Horst; 2 great-grandchildren; sister: Verna L. Hoover and in-laws: Mabel Horst, Raymond Hoover and Clarence Hoover. Viewing will held on Wednesday May 20, 2026 from 5 to 8 pm in the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, 141 Jackson Rd., Lebanon, PA 17042. Due to current construction at the Fairview Mennonite Church, funeral services will be held on Thursday May 21, 2026 at 9:30am in the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center. Friends are invited to gather at the reception center from 9:00am until 9:30 am. Final viewing; graveside services and funeral services will take place beginning at 9:30 am. at the reception center. Burial will take place in the Fairview Mennonite Cemetery following the funeral.
