Minnie H. (Kurtz) Martin Horning, 84, of Myerstown, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 19, 2018. She was the wife of Michael Z. Horning and a member of Swatara Mennonite Church. Born in West Earl Township, Lancaster County on July 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Christian B. and Ella Nolt Hoover Kurtz. Surviving in addition to her husband are eight children, Ruth K. Martin of Lititz; Irene K. wife of Samuel Martin of Bethel; Raymond K. husband of Martha (Groff) Martin of Myerstown; Ella Mae wife of Robert Martin of Williston, SC; Eva K. wife of David Witmer of Myerstown; Carolyn K. wife of Elvin Sensenig of Stevens; Rhoda K. wife of James Ramer of Myerstown; Nelson K. husband of Elaine (Faus) Martin of Newmanstown; 45 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; stepson, Leon husband of Rhoda Horning of Worthington, MA; stepdaughters, Marie wife of Ray Martin of Lititz; Carolyn wife of Leon Martin of New Providence; Marian wife of Glenn Newswanger of Columbia, NM; 19 step grandchildren; 60 step great grandchildren; brother, Norman Kurtz; sisters, Mary Weaver; Verna Zimmerman; Naomi wife of Harvey Weaver. She was preceded in death by her first husband Reuben O. Martin; brothers Christian Kurtz, Melvin Kurtz, Paul Kurtz; sisters Edna Nolt, Anna Martin, Ella Martin and a step grandson. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10 AM in Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Road, Myerstown. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing on Sunday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at the church. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS. Clauser Funeral Home, Inc. is handling her arrangements.
