Robert W Derr

Robert William Derr, a son of the late Louella Meckley Maywell and Clarence “Jerry “ Derr, passed away Monday, July 16th, 2012 in his home. Robert “Bob” was born on March 14th, 1937 in Blainsport, Lancaster Co. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by three sons: Mitchell, Gregory and wife Denise, and Patrick; grandchildren: Olivia, wife of Kyle Smaltz, Ethan, Alex, Jazmin, Liza and Colby; brother: Samuel Seldomridge; sister: Janet Delp. There are lots of nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his sisters: Phyllis WasKo, Dorothy Simonetta and Kathryn Herbst. He was a graduate of the class of 1954 of Richland High School. He served four years in the United States Air Force, serving in Germany for most of that time. He was a Jet Mechanic. He was a member of Millcreek Lutheran Church, Richland American Legion, AARP, Berks-Lebanon Seniors Golf. He was a Golfer, Fisherman and hunter. He was retired from Alcoa Lebanon Works after thirty years of employment. He was previously employed at Hamilton Watch, Lancaster. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 23rd, 2012 at 10:00a.m. in the Richland Cemetery, Richland.
