Sara Elizabeth Noll

Sara Elizabeth Noll, 96, of Myerstown, PA, passed away in her residence on Friday, April 28, 2017. She was the wife of the late Richard Harvey Noll. She was born in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County on September 18, 1920, a daughter of the late Silas S. and Minnie E. Lutz Bickel. Sara was employed as an elementary school teacher working at Penn Bernville, Steelton Highspire and retired from the Cornwall Lebanon School District. She was a 1942 graduate of Kutztown Teacher’s College. Sara was a life member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Rehrersburg. She was a member of the PSEA, Berks Co. and Lebanon Co. Retired Teachers Associations. She enjoyed taking bus trips with the 50 + Club of Bethel and traveling in Europe, specifically Jerusalem. She just loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by children, Richard S. Noll and wife Paulette of Newmanstown; Beanie L. Swingholm and husband Terry of Myerstown; Ann L. Groff and husband Douglas of Myerstown; Harry R. Noll of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Kristine, Harry II; Robert, Justin, Zachary and Hayden; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandson, Richard S. Noll, Jr.; sisters, Margaret Royer and Elsie Heifer. Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11 am in Trinity United Church of Christ, 27 Maria St., Rehrersburg, PA, with a visitation time beginning on Friday at 10 am. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity UCC, PO Box 111, Rehrersburg, PA 19550.
