

Stanton Allen Templin, Jr., 72, of Richland, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Catherine Louise Paul Templin with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in October. He was born in Lebanon on July 24, 1945, a son of Betty J. Layser Templin of Myerstown and the late Stanton Allen Templin, Sr. Stan was employed at Cornwall-Lebanon High School as a science teacher, retiring after 30 years. He also coached track and field for many years. Stan graduated from ELCO in 1963, which was the first graduating class of the ELCO jointure, and also graduated from Millersville University with a BS degree in Education. He was an avid golfer, life member of Richland American Legion; Sons of American Legion; Womelsdorf Rod and Gun Club; and Newmanstown Athletic Association. He was also a member of the Millcreek Lutheran Church in Newmanstown and past president of the Richland Jaycees. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are son, Stanton Allen Templin, III and wife Kristen of Reinholds; grandchildren, Austin Schaeffer of Santa Ana, CA, Evan, Bryce and Grace Templin of Reinholds; sisters, Bonita Templin of Eagleville, PA ; Kristin Bender and husband Max of Myerstown. Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospice, 202 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 17042 or Millcreek Lutheran Church, 221 N. Sheridan Road, Newmanstown, PA 17073.
