Verna G. Hoover, 97, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in her home. She was the wife of the late Paul S. Hoover. She was born in Bowmansville, Lancaster County on May 30, 1921, a daughter of the late Aaron W. and Hannah S. Good Wise. She was a member of Hamlin Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference. Verna is survived by sons: Gerald Hoover husband of Vera of Clyde, NY; Wilmer Hoover husband of the late Edna of Elizabethtown; Paul David Hoover husband of Carol of Myerstown; Mervin Hoover husband of Marian of Pelham, GA; James Hoover husband of Frances of Lebanon, with whom she resided; Vernon Hoover husband of Linda of Patriot, OH; caregiver of six years Mattie Gingrich; 29 grandchildren; 105 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister, Anna Horst and husband Eli H. of Bareville; brother, Alvin Wise and wife Anna Mae of Mohnton. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Eunice W. Hoover and one great granddaughter. Verna’s family would like to thank the Hospice and Community Care staff for the special care provided to Verna. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 9:30 am in Mt.
