Ann Gill, of Scituate, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29th at the age of 75. Ann was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late John and Ann (Harrington) Doherty, raised in Dorchester and summered in Humarock Beach. In 1970 she married the love of her life Tommy Gill. They spent 18 loving years together until Tommy, who was a Boston Police Detective, was killed in the line of duty in 1988. From that time on she remained devoted to him and was faced to raise her three girls in Marshfield on her own. She raised her daughters with strength, devotion, and endless support. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.
She is survived by her daughters Kelli and her husband Larry Dever, Kristi and her husband Jeff Leerink and Katelyn and her husband Chris Ebinger. Her 6 grandchildren Riley, Saylor, Harrison, Sydney, Jake and Connor.
Ann is also survived by 5 siblings and many nieces and nephews who she loved and adored.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 9, 2025 from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday September 10, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Ann by the Sea, 587 Ocean St, Marshfield.
