Born and raised in a large loving Italian family in Boston, she met the love of her life and best friend Bill Luosey at Dorchester High School. They would marry in 1965 and move to Quincy where they would raise two children and reside for 52 years.
Ann had a long career at State Street holding many positions before retiring. In retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband to warm beaches, casinos and even made epic trips to Italy and Hawaii. She greatly enjoyed spending several months a year in Florida with her son and grandchildren.
She loved to bring people together. Whether it be on holidays like Christmas Eve or on Sundays at the Cape in South Yarmouth where there was always food, fun and a sense of belonging. She was instrumental in organizing impressive pranks including a surprise bride and groom and a family picture where the resemblance was unmistakable. Her love of water guns was legendary and full-on family wars – indoors – were not uncommon.
Ann brought two pink lawn flamingos home from her honeymoon and her love affair began. All things flamingo adorned her home and she collected many friends for her two original birds. One birthday she awoke to a lawn full of flamingos placed by her granddaughter Violet.
Her pasta sauce was amazing. Her meatballs were a meal. She hand wrote her recipe and each of her children have a copy to cherish. When she was in Florida she even made a video of her technique.
Ever the mother and protector, you would never leave her presence without hearing “be careful”. She will be missed by all those who benefitted from her love, care and kindness.
Ann was predeceased by her husband William C. “Bill” Luosey and her brother Joseph D. Genduso.
She is survived by her brother Robert Genduso of Dorchester, her son Bill Luosey and his fiancé Lisette Nelson of Orlando, FL her daughter Kristen Emond and her husband Alex of Scituate, MA, her grandchildren Violet Cato, Madison Joy and Mackennan Neslon-Horn, Alexandra Hagmaier and her husband Tyler, Cassidy and Courtney Luosey and great grandchildren Grayson and Olivia Hagmaier.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11 am at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
