Anthony “Tony” Glew- Age 53, of Scituate, was a generous and caring husband, father, brother, and friend. He passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2021 at age 53. Tony’s loving heart will continue serve as a beacon of inspiration for his family, his friends, and all that knew him.

Tony is survived by his wife, Merle of 28 years, and his beautiful daughter, Alex, and his son Brenden. He is also survived by his mother Barbara, his six siblings, their spouses, and 17 nieces and nephews. Tony was raised in Hull and lived his adult life in Scituate. Tony loved spending time outdoors taking his beloved dogs for a walk in the woods, especially his favorite Rottweiler, Brody who was always by his side. He loved driving his custom Harley Davidson, shooting pool and was proud of his extraordinary knife collection. His family and those closest to him will forever remember Tony for his “larger than life” hugs.

Tony was a very talented and hardworking brick mason and master chimney sweep who operated throughout the south shore for over 30 years and we “can also promise that 100 years from now, his cigarettes will be cemented in chimneys all over the state.” His warm smile, gentle eyes, and kindness will be missed by his family, colleagues as well as all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2021 from 4-8pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate MA. Donation can be made to the Scituate Animal Shelter scituateanimalshelter.org

To Tony's family, we send you our sincere condolences at the loss of your Tony. We had the pleasure of meeting and working with Tony when we put in a patio. ( im sure there are a few cigarettes buried under there) He was alot of fun and a joy to work with, and as you know the guy could talk! So much of it was about his family, he was so proud of you!
May he rest in the sweetest peace, he earned it
