Mrs. Barbara G. Whitfield

Barbara Gladys Elliott Whitfield, a 45 year resident of Scituate, MA went home to the Lord on December 6, 2015 at the age of 84. Loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 63 years Peter Whitfield (Sr), their children Peter Whitfield (Jr) and his wife Peg of Plymouth, MA, Susan Whitfield of Scituate, and Scott Whitfield and his wife Lisa of Phoenix, AZ and 13 grandchildren: Kristan Cortinas, Stacy Whitfield, Zackary Flannery, Amanda Flannery, Justin Whitfield, Grace Whitfield, Mary Whitfield, Elizabeth Whitfield, Simon Whitfield, Catherine Whitfield, Theresa Whitfield, Thomas Whitfield and Hope Whitfield as well as five great grand children, one great great grandchild and many nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her "son from another mother", Cliff (W.B.) Watkins and his wife Kate O'Brien of Newark, DE.

She is preceded in death by their sons Wayne Whitfield and Craig Whitfield.

There will be a visitation from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday December 10, 2015 at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 11, 2015 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Scituate, 660 Country Way, Scituate, MA.
