Peterson, Deborah, 84, Scituate MA and formerly of New York, NY passed away with her children present February 5th 2018. She was born in Newton, Ma to Earl and Helen Stevenson. She is pre deceased by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Hart Peterson also from Newton.
Deborah was an author and horticulturist, her book “Don’t Throw it Grow It” was on several bestselling lists. Much of her career was spent in New York City where she lived with her Husband and raised their two children Pamela and Earl. She was an avid reader, writer, Gardner, and loved to enjoy her friends. Her hunger for adventure lead to many memorable experiences in cooking, boating and crafts. She is survived by her two children, Pamela, Earl, daughter in-law Anita and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Friday February 9, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate MA. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made online to Norwell VNA and Hospice at www.nvna.org/
