Dorothy E. (Whittaker) Stone, life-long resident of Scituate, passed away on Feb. 24, 2011, at the age of 90. Dorothy was a co-founder of Scituate Etrusco, life-long parishioner of St. Mary of the Nativity Church in Scituate and a supporter of Scituate History. Loving wife of the late William B. Stone. Devoted mother of William and his wife Margaret, Thomas and his wife Joan, all of FL, Patricia Yeaton and her husband Dennis. Proud grandmother of Kathleen Ahari, Billy, Mark and Gregory Stone, Brian and Jeffrey Yeaton, and Rebecca Schweppenhauser. Also survived by five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, Feb. 28 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Tuesday, March 1 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate. Burial to follow in Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate.
