Ellen Anne Pihl

Ellen attended Somerville High School class of 1958 and went on to work as a Registered Nurse at South Shore Hospital Weymouth for 37 years.

She was the loving wife of 64 years to Walter C. Pihl. Beloved mother to Catherine Houldcroft, of Scituate, Walter and Dona Pihl of Middleboro, Henry Pihl of Whitman, and the late Eric Pihl of Scituate. Cherished grandmother to Kevin Pihl, Christopher Pihl and Kathryn Pihl all from Whitman. She is survived by her siblings Nancy Mederios, her late husband James, Alfred Dionne, his late wife Joan, Michael Dionne and his wife Elise. She was predeceased by her brother Henry "Bobby" Dionne and his wife Virginia.

Ellen was a kind and thoughtful person that anyone would knew her loved her. She would always have a smile on her face and would reach out to help others when needed. She enjoyed painting and crocheting, but most of all she was happiest at home with her family and friends.

Ellen was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever she went. She was always there when we needed her. We will miss her very much.

A visitation will be held on Thursday February 15, 2024 from 2-4pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A Memorial Service will be held at 4pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Reception to follow.
