Dear Margaret, Bobby, Cissy, Uncle Henry and the rest of the Family:
It really hurts that Carol and I can't be there today, but our hearts are with you. My main regret is that I didn't get the opportunity to finally forgive Auntie Esther for slipping me the butter milk on that very hot day at Bataan Court. What good times we had.

My father had a special bond with Esther and treasured her friendship throughout his life. My whole family loved Esther and loved her family too. Aunt Pat, our uncles and father told funny and touching stories of their childhood and young adulthood; those stories frequently included Esther and the rest of the Donahues. When Esther was in a room, love, warmth and happiness lit the place up. 
Cissy, your mother will be missed and our prayers and thoughts are with you,Al, Margaret, Bobby and your families.
