Francis X Gallivan

Son to the late Francis and Margaret Gallivan. Cherished father to Kathleen Holmquest, her husband Christopher of Marshfield, Kerry Igo, her husband Paul of Sandwich, Andrew Gallivan, his wife Mary of New Windsor NY and Megan Quinn, her husband Robert of Scituate.

Beloved grandfather to Brian and Jennifer, Sean and Kyra Holmquest, Shannon and her husband Matt, Kelsey and Michaela Igo, Drew, Meghan and Caroline Gallivan, Colin and Liam Quinn. Francis is also survived by his sister Jeanne Gallivan of Quincy.

Frank had a successful career in finance. He devoted significant time to volunteer efforts. He was a long time member of the board of directors of St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh, NY, the Astor Home and the United Way of Orange County. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and also his granddogs.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday August 15 from 9:30-10:30am at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A funeral mass will be Tuesday August 15 at 11:00 am from St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southwood at Norwell, Nursing Home Residents' Activities, 501 Cordwainer Dr., Norwell, MA.
