Geraldine Ann Lind

Geraldine Ann (Mack) Lind passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023 at the age of 90. She was the daughter of John and Matilda Mack both born in New York. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin P. Lind. Survived by Stephen Lind of Scituate, Pam McCallum of Scituate, Paula Lind and Ron Pearson of Scituate, her grandson Tim McCallum and wife Stephanie as well as her great grandson Jack Alvin McCallum. She is also survived by her niece Andrea Buffum of Cohasset, James Lind and wife Wanda of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, nephew Jeffrey Lind and wife Lori of Norwell. She was predeceased by her niece Marcia Short. She also leaves behind many great nieces, nephews, dear friends, and neighbors.

Geraldine was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. She graduated from Quincy High School, attended Boston University and graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She was a legal secretary, worked for her husband’s Auto Appraisal Business and worked for the Town of Scituate Assessor’s office. She was a communicant at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild for many years.

Geraldine had a great sense of humor, was beautiful right to the end with her contagious smile. She enjoyed camping with her girls, reading her mysteries and spoiling her many cats and beloved dog, Tugboat. She loved being with her family, dressing to the nines and posing for photos. She lived courageously with Alzheimer’s disease for many years. She is at peace now.

The family thanks all the staff at Cardigan Nursing Home in Scituate for their excellent care, thoughtfulness, and true compassion to the very end.
