Guido was predeceased by his grandparents, parents and two older brothers, Anio and Irvino Risi. Guido is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois (O'Brien), three children and 7 grandchildren: James Risi of Franklin, MA, his wife Jennifer and their children Bryan and Joseph, Deborah Risi of Scituate, MA and her children Joseph and Nina, and Eugene Risi of Essex, VT, his wife Mary Jo and their children Matthew (Karissa), Adam and Katherine.

Sorry for your loss.
As a student at Hatherly School grades 1 through 6, I knew Mr Risi - he was the principle there at least some of those years.
I remember getting in trouble for rough housing during Recess and getting sent to his office he was tough but fair.
James, Mr Risi’s son, is a friend, and in our grade, it was always good to see him or Mr. Risi around town.
My mom, Mary Adams, asked me to also extend her condolences. We talked happily about the good old days in remembrance of what a kind, happy, considerate man Mr. Risi was.
James, a bunch of the guys, Kevin, Flap, Nando, me and others are all very sorry, your dad was a great guy. - Tony Adams

I never attended a school where Mr. Risi taught or was principal, but I lived next door. Mr. Risi was a neighborhood hero in his passion for science and engineering. I specifically remember my first Estes rocket. All the neighborhood kids got their first rocket from Mr. Risi and he took us to the high school to launch them. Certainly a man that left a legacy of students and neighbors who are better just by knowing him.

I never had Mr Risi classes but I remember him being a great teacher with knowledge and sympathy . He will be missed by all the students at Jenkins ! I was right next to him in Mr Corbin's Class in 6th grade . IN the 5th and 6th grade in the 50's we learned a lot of knowledge and skills. R.I.P. Mr Risi and may God bless your Soul

He was a man who loved his work, touched the lives of so many young people and will be surely missed throughout the Scituate School Systems. I knew him from Hatherly School as he always greeted us with a smile.
