Inez Rose Henry

HENRY, Inez (Lanzini), 66, of Scituate, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 05, 2013. Devoted wife of Thomas Henry. Loving sister of Betty Murray of Mt. Kisco, NY. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many treasured friends.

Inez was born in Melrose on May 31, 1947 to Harold and Rose Lanzini. She was raised in Malden graduated from Malden High in 1965 and graduated cum laude from Northeasten University. Inez had a rewarding career working for New England Telephone and retired from Verizon after 38 years. In retirement she volunteered at the Scituate Food Pantry and worked part time at Talbots at Derby Shops. Inez loved sports and was a dedicated runner and completed the Disney Princess half marathon in February 2012. She enjoyed playing tennis at the Scituate Tennis and Racquet Club and spending time on the family boat “Together”. Travel and seeing new places were very important to Inez and with her husband Tom, she enjoyed yearly Caribbean cruises and many trips throughout Europe. She loved gardening, entertaining and holidays were always important for celebrating with family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to visitation hours in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Monday, Sept. 9th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be celebrated in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 465 First Parish Rd, Scituate on Tuesday, Sept. 10th at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
